Happy Friday, friends! Welcome to this week’s Friday Favorite, a series where I share my favorite books, authors, and writing-related tools and resources. This week, my Friday Favorite is a book podcast I can’t get enough of: The Book Riot Podcast!
Publishing is somewhat of an intimidating world to try to understand. There are many moving pieces within it and many different news sources covering it, from The New York Times and The Atlantic to Publishers Weekly. It can be hard to keep up with everything, but this book podcast feels like a safe hand to hold amid the barrage.
Book Riot’s website describes the podcast as “a weekly news and talk show about what's new, cool, and worth talking about in the world of books and reading, brought to you by the editors of Book Riot.” Whether you are new to publishing or have been in the business for a while, don’t miss the wealth of information this podcast offers on the latest trends, awards, controversies, and triumphs of traditional book publishing. From book banning to the latest celebrity memoir to shifts in Big 5 publishing models, this podcast will keep you in touch with the fast-paced, rapidly-changing world of books.
For even more book-related news and in-depth discussions on what’s happening in the industry, I highly encourage you to check out their website as well as their other book podcasts! I just subscribed to a couple of their newsletters and I'm so excited to start learning even more.
That’s it for me today! Happy Writing!
